The village has been occupied since Roman times and much of it dates back to the fifteenth century when it was the property of the Monks of Saint Honorat from the nearby Iles de Lerins just off the coast of Cannes. It has a feeling of tradition with many original features still existing around the village.
The beautiful unspoilt village of Mougins itself is renowned for its excellent restaurants visited from all over the world.
